Think First Dance Second 1:
this mix is comprised of 24 separate tracks were split apart into samples ranging from about 30 seconds long, up to a full track. Arranged/performed live in Ableton Live 8 using a UC-33e MIDI Controller. Some of some of the 24 tracks were used, not all
everything in this mix was put together live, rearranged and completely re-edited out of sequential order and recorded into a mix. to explain: every single track in this mix was sliced and diced into 30 second to 1 minute long clips, each track comprised of about 11+ ‘sample clips’. when all the samples were finally prepared the mix itself was performed live and randomly selecting from 11 x 24 short-to-long clips. the only post editing was some minor audio level adjustments, eliminating stray clip launches, effect adjustments, and thats about it. some edits were made for time constraints to fit within a cd of 80 minutes.
Think First Dance Second 2:
this mix is comprised entirely of original productions. 2 tracks are collaborations between myself and my longtime friend, and extremely talented and classically trained musician. the rest are entirely original productions by yours truly.
